This story is about Kalamkari, a beautiful young Indian girl, lovingly named after the famous cloth of India. Her father has recently died in prison for a crime he didn’t commit and Kalamkari is determined to rescue her family from the clutches of her evil uncle. Thus, she decides to become a rickshaw driver, even though it is a rather unusual and dangerous job for a girl. At the same time, she and her family are befriended by a Christian family from the church that her uncle attends. Through them she begins to understand what true Christianity is all about, but is quite unwilling to relinquish control of her own life to God. However, suddenly caught in a terrifying situation, she begins to realize just how helpless she is without the Lord.
