Nahmo, a young farm boy, is sent to the city of Harare to earn extra money for the family. He soon discovers that the city can be a very cold and heartless place where trouble is quite easy to get into and good jobs are difficult to obtain. Eventually though, Nahmo is befriended by a Christian doctor whose consistent kindness and love encourages Nahmo to become a Christian himself. Then, through a summer experience with Teen Missions in Zimbabwe, Nahmo begins to grow in his new faith and to learn the importance of severing his former ties with Spiritism.
